Journey to Asylum: An Immigrant Justice Initiative

The Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists are proud to join many other UU congregations around the country in supporting migrants as part of the Unitarian Universalists Service Committee’s Congregational Accompaniment Program for Asylum Seekers. The Journey to Asylum program seeks to offer compassion and solidarity to migrants and their families. We sponsor, house, financially support, and accompany them through the process of obtaining legal asylum. For many migrants, such sponsorship can mean the difference between pursuing asylum from a place of safety and freedom and going through the entire court proceedings from a detention center. Thank you for your support and generosity!

Your gift will help us walk shouder to shoulder with migrants throughout the entire asylum process--from the time we transport them to Williamsburg until they complete the legal asylum process and achieve self-sufficiency.

If you'd prefer to support this program by check, please use the following mailing address: Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists, 3051 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Please put "Journey to Asylum" on the memo line.
